Patternmaking in Our Own Hands
Reflections from Eight Patternmakers, December 2020
This 36-page zine features interviews with eight clothing patternmakers. They reflect on learning and practicing patternmaking, and share their hopes for the future of patternmaking education. These eight people -- Amy Sperber, Victoria Cleveland, Julia John, Lala Sondjaja, Michael Gardner, Jasmin Ivette Moran, Cal Patch, and Elinor Vizard -- offered patternmaking events through the Patternmaking in Public Places series during summer 2020. This zine is a culmination of their events, and a celebration of the diverse ways to be a patternmaker. If you love to sew, you will doubtless find these interviews inspiring.
Profits will be split between the patternmakers.
Details: 8.5" X 5.5", card stock cover, 36 interior pages, black and white, staple binding.
